The Key Stage 2 children have worked together on a joint sewing venture – making Table runners and Advent calendars.
The children have risen to the challenge of Designing and working with range of fabrics, learning how to sew a range of stiches and the importance of finishing techniques to improve the standard of a finished product.
Other textile based work this term has included – “make , do and mend” a project that recycled old clothes into new ones linked with what children were studying – Life in wartime. Pupils have also been designing and making T-shirts using fabric paints.
Children have really enjoyed this creative topic.
John Perryn CHOIR – Christmas concert
John Perryn Choir continues to go from strength to strength.
It was an amazing experience for the children to perform for such a large audience. Their performance was particularly inspiring and should encourage everyone to keep practising.
Many thanks to the John Perryn community who came to the event. Special thanks also go to Miss Aggie, Miss Buckley and Mrs Gerer for their continued support and hard work on the choir’s behalf.
