Winning house film afternoon – ANDERSON House

At John Perryn we have House Captains who lead their house by encouraging and providing guidance to the children. They also talk to children in the school about their learning and help to look after our school.red-ribbon-week-929585

We love earning house points.  We all set a target and earn points to help us achieve this.  We can earn points for excellent presentation in books, excellent use of the John Perryn way and excellent learning.   Each term the winning house has a film afternoon at the end of term.

Here is the result…

At John Perryn Primary School we all love using ICT and the Internet to teach, to learn and to have fun, and we take online safety very seriously.

Our staff and children are knowledgeable about the dangers associated with using the internet but we are aware of how stay safe on line. We are very S.M.A.R.T.

Year 5 Science Museum

On Tuesday 26th January Year 5 went on an amazing trip to watch the ‘Feel the Force’ show! We travelled there using the tube, and the children excitedly explored the wonders of the museum, and the amazing artefacts which included one of the first mobile phones, and the first Apple Mac computer. the children could not get over how large the machines were, and feel very lucky to have been allowed to go by their parents.
All the children behaved themselves very well, and we thank all of the parents who gave up their time to come along for the day.

Year 3 EE trip – General Electric Capital Hammersmith

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Thirty children from Year 3 were chosen to visit GE Capital in Hammersmith on Wednesday 3rd February 2016.  The children were given the task of becoming ‘Imaginative Inventors’, where they had to design a new piece of technology to support the employees at the business, with the support of the Enabling Enterprise staff and some volunteers from GE Capital.

The trip was a great success!  The  children enjoyed every aspect of the day and represented our school in such a positive and mature manner.  It was such a pleasure to see them enjoying their task and working as part of a successful team.

It was very encouraging to receive positive feedback from both staff and volunteers and I was very proud to have been given the opportunity to accompany the children on this trip.
