Mad Science assembly – Science week
This morning the children had an EYFS/KS1 and KS2 assemblies delivered by Mad Science about ‘the air around us’. They witnessed lots of experiments to demonstrate air resistance, thrust and gravity.
Team GB hurdler Serita Solomon’s Assembly
Serita gave us an inspirational talk and demonstration about her career as an athlete and how important it is never to give up.

Pupils at John Perryn had a lesson in commitment and determination delived by a Team GB athlete, Serita Solomon.
In the morning, kids took part in a sponsored fitness circuit, with all year groups from the school, from Year 6 to reception, participating.
Serita then gave an inspirational talk and demonstration about her career as an athlete and how important it is never to give up.
Our children enjoyed the exercises and viewed Serita as a great role model to aspire to and have been motivated to try out new sports.
