PGL – Residential Trip – Day 1
Our first full day of activities certainly didn’t let us down. After a hearty breakfast, we set off on our various activities, each as fun as the last. Some groups did orienteering; a fantastic outdoor activity which encouraged us to communicate well with our team members. We also took part in many other outdoor activities such as climbing, abseiling.., as well as indoor activities such as fencing. We finished the day with a well deserved campfire. Yummy marshmallows!!
We settled into our beds in the evening feeling tired but happy with our first full day of activities. Round two tomorrow!

Year 1 – Tower of London trip
On Thursday 29th March 2017 Year 1 enjoyed an extremely fun day at the Tower of London. This half term we have been learning all about Kings, Queens and Castles as part of our Creative Curriculum topic. Our Guided Reading sessions have focused on a book all about the Tower of London and we were really excited to see some of the things that we had read about! Half way throughout our day, we were joined by a very experienced guide who led us on an exciting trail around the Tower where we found out all about three famous prisoners in the Tower and how they met their untimely ends. It was a very fun and very educational day that rounded off our work on Kings, Queens and Castles perfectly.
